Also, the co-located Oct 12-13 International Heliophysics Data Environment Alliance (IHDEA) meeting registration is also open, with a posted IHDEA agenda
An inaugural workshop for data science and software in Heliophysics. Abstracts are by due Sept 8 (deadline was extended 1 week). Registration is now open.
DASH will serve as a forum for scientists and software developers to present and discuss algorithms, software, and data systems used in the acquisition, reduction, analysis, and dissemination of data for Heliophysics, including space and ground-based measurements as well as models. The meeting will connect practitioners across institutions, and international participation is key to success. All ranges of experience are welcome. The program will contain invited and contributed talks (with virtual participation possible), as well as posters (in-person only). Presentations and posters will be published in a Zenodo Community following the event. Note that sessions will avoid 'death by powerpoint' and emphasize sharing and discussion. We are intending this meeting to become an annual event.
The official sessions and schedule are below. Full session descriptions are available. We are happy to announce that NSF is providing a fixed number of travel stipends to help people attend DASH & IHDEA, information will be provided to registrants. DASH and IHDEA are supported by NASA Grant 80NSSC23K0690.
Registration and Abstract submission are now open! Abstracts are due by September 8th.
Logistics: Both DASH and IHDEA will be held on the APL campus in Laurel, MD in Building 201 (directions here). The nearest rail station to APL is the MARC rail, Savage station (due to closures at the Laurel station).
